    • Jeanne Casteen is a dedicated and passionate educator from Phoenix, Arizona.
    • Jeanne decided to run for the Creighton School District (CSD)Governing Board in 2012 and currently serves as President of the board.
    • Jeanne understands the importance of access to accessible, affordable education. Her children and stepchildren are the products of Arizona schools, and she’s attended several junior colleges and a state university herself.


  • Maricopa County School Superintendent - Jennifer Samuels

    • I am a teacher, activist, financial executive, marathon runner, wife and mother.
    • My experience includes both general and special education classrooms, grades K-8. We face serious challenges as we struggle to re-prioritize public education.
    • The teacher-led movement for change, insisting we change course, inspired most of us — parents, business leaders, and other educational advocates.
    • The office is statutorily responsible to provide services supporting school governing board elections, bond and override elections, appointments, school finance, and maintain home-school and private school records.


  • Maricopa County Assessor- Aaron Connor

    For over 15 years, Aaron Connor has been working in the mortgage industry. He has worked in underwriting, loan processing, title review, as a loan officer, a business analyst, and systems administrator.

    The impact that Aaron will make includes:

    • Improving technology to enhance the Maricopa County Property Owners’ experience.
    • Fairly and accurately assess property values while providing excellent customer service.
    • Enhance accountability and transparency to the office.


  • Maricopa County Recorder - Adrian Fontes

    • Adrian Fontes is a US Marine Corps Veteran, and a graduate of Arizona State University and Sturm College of Law at the University of Denver.
    • As a former prosecutor with the Denver District Attorney's Office and Maricopa County Attorney's Office, he has spent his career advocating for justice and fighting for those who are disadvantaged.
    • Since being elected as County Recorder in 2016, Adrian changed a voter registration policy that resulted in the registration of tens of thousands of previously denied voters, increased the number of vote centers in the county, and has made voting more accessible for everyone.
    • The Maricopa County Recorder’s office is dedicated to maintaining public records and overseeing the registration of voters, early voting, and all election functions in partnership with the board of supervisors.


  • Maricopa County Sheriff - Paul Penzone

    • Paul Penzone is a 21-year veteran of the Phoenix Police Department.
    • After retirement, Sheriff Penzone spent time as Vice President of Childhelp, a nonprofit dedicated to the treatment and prevention of child abuse.
    • After his election as Sheriff in 2016, Penzone closed Tent City, transformed it into a rehabilitation center, and has worked to privately fund and build a new state-of-the-art center for Maricopa County.
    • Sheriff Office (MCSO) Animal Safe Haven (MASH) unit.
    • Sheriff Penzone has also successfully managed the MCSO's budget, creating a $20 million surplus and reduced lawsuits which cost Maricopa County taxpayers millions of dollars.

  • Maricopa County Attorney - Ryan Tait

    • Ryan Tait began his career as a prosecutor at MCAO. as a Major Crimes prosecutor, Ryan took more cases to trial and boasted a higher trial success rate than any other attorney in his bureau.
    • Ryan is committed to implementing data-driven policies and forward-thinking leadership that will bring Maricopa County into the 21st Century.
    • The Maricopa County Attorney's Office is one of the nation's largest public prosecutorial agencies, serving nearly four million residents in the fourth largest county in the U.S. We have more than 900 full-time employees each of whom is committed to service with integrity, ensuring justice for all.


  • Maricopa County Attorney - Julie Gunnigle

    • Julie Gunnigle is running on a platform of sentencing reform, bond reform, ending cash bail, and eliminating private prisons.
    • Criminal justice reform is of key importance to Julie because it's at the core of her experience in Cook County, Illinois where she prosecuted financial crime and public corruption.
    • She knows we need a system that is tough, smart, and fair. As a local Arizonan, she wants to rid Maricopa County of continuous corruption, rather than focusing on prosecuting low-level drug offenses like the current county attorney. This focus would be fiscally responsible to taxpayers and cut down on the dichotomy of racial sentencing that unfairly impacts people of color.


  • Maricopa County Attorney - Will Knight

    • Will Knight is a Latino immigrant and an experienced attorney with a background in prosecution, criminal defense, and civil rights.
    • He is deeply aware, from personal experience, of how criminal actors and the carceral state can blindly and irreparably alter the lives of everyday Americans.
    • Will is running for Maricopa County Attorney on a fiscally responsible platform of criminal justice reform. His priorities are to end mass incarceration and the school-to-prison pipeline, repair relationships between communities of color and law enforcement, and restore confidence through transparency and fair justice for all stakeholders.
  • Maricopa County Attorney - Robert McWhirter

    • Mr. McWhirter is a Certified Specialist in Criminal Law with the State Bar of Arizona.
    • He is a nationally and internationally known speaker and  author on trial advocacy, immigration law, and the history of the bill  of rights.
    • Mr.  McWhirter has international  management experience  having  worked   extensively  in  Latin America on justice reform.



  • Maricopa County Attorney - Tamika Wooten

    • As a practicing attorney for 29 years, Tamika has served in all three areas of the Maricopa County justice department as a defense attorney, a prosecutor, and a judge.
    • As Chief Prosecutor in Glendale, Arizona, she coordinated and developed an award-winning Domestic Violence program.
    • Tamika also owned and operated her own sports agency as a Certified NFL Contract Advisor.
  • Maricopa County Treasurer - Dan Toporek

    • Dan Toporek spent the last 34 years honorably serving our Nation as a Marine and Army Attack Pilot.
    • Dan promises to keep that trust, find innovative ways to invest the  taxpayer’s money and to ensure the office of the County Treasurer treats all people with respect, fairness, and equality.
    • The office of County Treasurer is an office of special trust.
    • The Treasurer must faithfully collect the funds needed to pay for the services provided by our County, distribute those funds as directed by
    • the County Board of Supervisors, and invest and protect those funds until needed.
